Hobart (Bo) Surber, 69, of 708 Liberty St, died at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday in Culver Hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Suber was employed by Crawfordsville Scrap & Salvage Co for 24 years. Born Jan 18, 1897, at Waynetown, he was a son of James and Mary Jane Davis Surber. He was married June 9, 1927 to Helen Weliver, who survives. Other survivors are four sons, Robert E, James D and Michael W all of Crawfordsville, and David L. of Wingate; four daughters, Mrs. Violet Hocking, Mrs. Nancy Evans and Mrs. Judith Whitlow, all of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Sue Sheets of Ladoga; 28 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four children and six brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev WF Muir officiating. Interment in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
